Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

ProofClean exists to prove work was done, not to mine your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

Account information: your email address and any profile details you give us when you sign up.

Content you upload: before-and-after photos, site names and addresses, notes, and the job details you enter, which the Service uses to generate your reports.

Usage information: basic technical data such as which features you use, device and browser type, and log data that helps us keep the Service running and debug problems.

Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects your payment details. We never see or store your full card number.

2. How we use it

We use your information to operate the Service: to generate reports, save them to your account, provide support, process payments, and secure accounts. We also use aggregated usage data to understand how the Service is used and to improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos or reports to advertise to anyone.

3. Third parties we rely on

We use a small number of service providers to run ProofClean: Supabase for authentication, file storage, and our database; Stripe for payment processing; and Vercel for hosting. Each processes your data only as needed to provide their service to us, under their own security and privacy commitments.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ProofClean, our users, or others.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and make the app work. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data, photos, and reports for as long as your account is active, history is part of the point of a proof-of-clean record. If you delete content or close your account, we delete the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain it for legal, billing, or security reasons. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

6. Your rights

You can access and update most of your information directly in the app. You can also ask us to export or delete your personal data, or to close your account entirely, email admin@proofclean.app and we'll handle it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we'll honor them.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout, access controls on stored photos and reports, and signed, expiring links for client-facing pages. No system is perfectly secure, so we also encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

ProofClean is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we'll notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.

10. Contact
